What is the function of a check valve in a Hydraulic System?

Hydraulic check valve is used in hydraulic system to prevent reverse flow of oil and compressed air. It is used in pneumatic system to prevent reverse flow of compressed air. The fluid can only flow along the inlet, but the outlet medium can not return.

Several ways hydraulic check valves are used in hydraulic systems:

(1) If the hydraulic check valve is installed at the pump port, it can prevent the sudden rise of system pressure from damaging the oil pump.

(2) If the hydraulic check valve is parallel with the hydraulic throttle valve or the hydraulic pressure relief valve, the actuating mechanism reverses slowly and quickly; Or reverse free flow path to deceleration.

(3) If the hydraulic check valve is connected in series with the hydraulic Pressure Valve, it will gradually increase the adjustment pressure and prevent pressure reaction.

(4) For the hydraulic control check valve, when opening the check valve by means of the control oil circuit, the oil can not flow back in the opposite direction.
